Today I got a call from a malay lady at around 5.45pm, I was at the hyper market with my daughter. The malay lady was trying to explain who she was and how we met 1 year ago!

Then I finally remember, she did a milk powder survey with me when I was waiting my car to be wash in the car wash area.

Today she called up again, and offer a sanitary pad survey! Which would repay me RM20 by end of the survey. I tried to push off the offer, saying that I am outside and busy afterwards. However, she said it will only take a little while...

Finally she arrived my house, we went on with the survey. By no time! Less then 10 Minutes! It was done and I earn the extra RM20.

That was easy money!

Yeah I was really away from my blog for sometimes, because my daughter is growing older and her nap time is shorter.

I hardly can find time for myself, especially in front of my laptop.

I am actually expecting my second baby by early June, i suppose i need more rest. So I rather take a nap or read magazine on the sofa, in order to get more rest.

Really hope to visit all of your blog more recently.

Unexpected Noise Vs Baby Sleeping

My daughter is now 2 years and 4 months, sometimes its really hard to put her to sleep.

She is very playful, asking me to accompany her to play even she's very sleepy!?

Try to keep her down on the bed. Sing song to her, tell stories...etc... do things to keep her down from her active moves, but then she will still stand up and jump on the bed!

Some how some unexpected noise came from outside of my housing area, a drunk guy came home yelling non-sense! That really did scared my darling baby away! She fell down on the bed flat and cover her face with her nappy cloth. Stayed there not moving for about five minutes waiting for the noise to stop.

By the time when it was quite again, my baby girl was sleeping save and sound. After 15 minutes, she's started to snore a little. That means she is really tired!

Sometimes, I feel glad to have this unexpected annoying noise around!

Silly to say, but did help me out a lot!

God! Really gave me some time to have a good rest!

Window Thief! Beware of valuables!

This incident happen on 28 March 2009, 4am midnight.

It was a rainy night, so i decide to open all my bed room window and on the fan instead of the air-cond. Firstly its nice to sleep in a natural breeze when its cool outside, secondly I can save some electricity money! Hit 1 stone with 2 bird?!

Somehow, I was wrong about it!

My husband came back from work at 3am midnight, he called me up to open the main entrance for him. Unfortunately, i only answer my hand phone the 3rd time when my husband rang me. I went out and open the door for him, and directly went back to bed and slept for another half an hour. 3.30am I woke up and came out to the living room to have my supper that was pack from my husband. After my supper, around 4am I went back to my bed room to take a peak on my sleeping baby.

My heart pump out in a sudden when I saw a broom stick lying on my bed! Then i looked at my window, my mosquito net that was install outside of my window was TEAR OFF! What a shock! I called my husband to come in the room, as he was reading the news paper at the living room.

We were all horrified! My husband wanted to go out and have a look, which I advice him not to. Woke my grandma out, found out the broom stick is actually from our garden. Luckily my baby was still fast asleep, as I think the thief did not see her, cus she was just sleeping below the window corner. So lucky my darling baby is not hurt...

We all sat at the living room and trying to calm ourself down, around 5am we all went back into our bedroom with all the windows close and LOCKED! On the air-cond, even its cool outside!

Woke up in the morning, and wanted to make a phone call. Found my hand phone missing! and it was unable to call thru! Oh DAMN! the thief took my hand phone! It was located on my desk which is near the window about 6 feet away. The lenght is just long enough for a broom stick! Went in the garden and found another broom for sweeping dry leaves were standing against my room wall! That really explain everything!

The thief actually heard my hand phone rang for so many times, and even could see where my hand phone was by the light when it rang. Waiting for me to leave the room in order to wait for his chance to steal. Took one broom stick to reach out and another broom to drop my hand phone on it, after that throw the unused broom stick on my bed and hand out the another broom outside the room to get my hand phone!

Half an hour the thief can do that! Even he knows that there is people sitting at the living room!

Conclusion! Do not place any valuables near the window, 5-8 feet away.

My hand phone is rather old and I've used for quite some years, lucky nobody got hurt, lucky its not a new phone.

Me and my husband hand phone is now located very far from the window. Even though we locked our window at night.

BEWARE! BECAREFULL!

Been Cheated! Damn!

Today morning I went to the buy old gold shop to sell of some old & unfit gold.

It has been kept in my drawer for quite some time, until it got my attention last week when I was cleaning up my things. Nowadays wearing gold really put attraction to thief, so I dare not to wear any of them!

I think I've not worn them more then 2 years+! Ever since I heard my neighbor being snap on the neck for a gold necklace by a motorist near my housing area. However, the thief did not get to snap the necklace but my neighbor fell down on the floor and got some scratches on the knee. It’s really not worth it.

So I plan to sell it off and get some cash instead of exchanging new gold items.

I think I was really stupid! When I think back what happen today!

I was really conscious & putting it important on how much they gave me the price per gram.

One shop really did offer a high price, so I gave him all the goods and he weights it. I did not weight it myself at home, so I assume the weight he provides me is correct (This was my HUGE mistake!).

Heaven’s sake! I came home and found some of my gold receipts and found out the total weight is much more then what the guy weighted for me in the shop!

HOLLY shit! I've been CHEATED!

No tears to wipe now!
What have done is done.
No regrets!

This really did teach me a HUGE lesson!
Never trust people easily! Especially anything does with money!
This lesson really did cost me much!

New Laptop & Camera!

Yesterday my mom & me went to Lawyat to buy a small laptop & a camera for my younger sister.

Her training is going to end soon and journey of flying around is going to begin!

She would need a lightweight laptop & a camera (Take pictures in the plane, Hand phone are not allow to be on during the flight).

All along I was using ASUS laptop, bought 4 years++ ago.
It is still functioning very well!

My mom bought a laptop last year.
Somehow that model was not that good.
Have sent to repair few times in 1-year time!
Luckily it is under warranty!
As per the technician guy, that model have lots of problems!
Oh dear, no regrets at this time...

We went to look around for the mini laptop

(not more then 10 inch wide).

Checked out Acer laptop, the memory is only 8G and it's too little.

Asus Eee PC, it has 30G memory! Hey that's good!

Bargain on the price RM1399, actually didn’t get any further discount only got us some free gifts. A headphone + mic & a mouse.

The price I think was good because other shops sold at RM1499 & RM1599, of course with more free gifts!

Eee PC 900 (BLACK)

I rather get it in a cheaper price then all the free gifts.
But of course even with cheaper price, my mom will still ask for free gifts. Haha :D

Camera that we bought was the CANON ixus.
The camera cost RM880 inclusive 4G memory card & a screen protector.

Canon iXUS (PINK)

Its really fun doing all this shopping, in few hours time we spent RM2279!
Since we need it so urgently we didn't really take much time buying it (2 hours, is it consider fast?)

My mom & the new laptop and camera :)

Reach home and tested out the laptop & camera.

Feeling exciting & happy with the products!

Now we are waiting for my sister to come pick up the goods once touch down Malaysia :)

Cockroaches Vs Pandan Leaves!

The most scariest thing in my life is the C* insect!
I dare to do anything to get away from it!

Think this is because of my mom.
She would climb up the dinning table if she sees one on the floor!

(Same goes to me :p)

One mid night (2am) I was heading to the kitchen to make milk for my daughter, to my fright! There was 3 C*!

One on the floor, one on the wall and one just in front of my water dispenser!
Great! How in the world I’m going to make milk!

I was stone by then!
My daughter was crying (waited for too long).
Me? Panic!? Husband? Still at work! Will not be back soon!

What should I do?! Don’t even dare to go near it!
Hoping the C* near the water dispenser will go a little far away, at least I can get the water, as my milk bottle and milk powder is already in my reach.

Waited, waited & waited… … Nothing seems to happen!
OK! Have to take some action! And I mean FAST!

Took a Sheltox, from I think 3 feet away, I sprayed the C* hoping it will walk away a little!

Waited for around 5 minutes! The C* only hide in the cupboard.

(Don't dare to use it at the first place cus afraid when I spray the C* will FLY AROUND ~~!)

Stretch my hand to get some water and quickly run back to the dining room.
At last it took me 30 minutes to make a bottle of milk, with me all wet with sweat in my pyjamas!

After feeding my daughter, I sat back and took a deep breath!
Then I SMS my husband about what happen.

My husband said: ‘ Pity my baby’.

When my husband got back home at 3.30am, he spray Sheltox from back to front and all the C* came out running around!
Guess what? There were 8 of them! Can’t imagine that much!

In the morning my grandmother went to the market and bought 3 bunches of PANDAN LEAVES!

I wonder what was that for?

It’s to keep the C* away! she answered.

Oh really?! Does it help?!
OK then, to see the truth!
I tie up the leaves and trough it in every cupboard.

I think it’s almost 1 week, at the moment I do not see any of then in the mid night

(touch wood! touch wood! touch wood!)

The leaves also gave a good aroma in the cupboard!
Amazingly & unbelievable! Haha!
Really would like to share it out!

Because the C* really does hunt me!
When I close my eyes to sleep I would also think of how horrible it looks like!

These few days, were very hot days in Kuala Lumpur!~

But however, we all got very attracted by the durian stalls all the way on the roadside!

The durians were pilling up like mountains!
Ops, forgot to take a picture of them :p

So yesterday, we all went for Durians!!!
That was our dinner :)

Reach the stalls at the roadside at about 5.30pm, taking good look at the durians.
We have chosen 20 Durians that cost us RM40.
I think it is Cheap!

Sat on the table and started the feast!

Don't be surprise that was the one we have finish eating!
And yet the one's on the table we are still eating :p
But we didn’t really get to finish all, did too take away some.

I think the amount is not too much for 5 adults :p

The durian was really GOOD!

The advantage of sit down and eat, is we get to exchange the bad durians if it does happen that we choose one :)

I think most of us would know that durian is a very heaty fruit!
In order to cool down the heat is to take an empty durian shell, rub some salt on the white skin & put drinking water in it and drink 2~3 shells.

But have you heard how to get rid of the durian aroma in your hand?
This was taught by my own grandfather, which he does own a durian mountain last time when I was still a kid.

Just take a durian shell and rub your finger on the inner white skin under the tap water.

Smell your fingers again?

Does it work or not?
Try it yourself :p

It's the Durian festival now!
I think for overseas friends should have getting imported durians now in the supermarket :)

Having new shoes problem?

This was my Chinese New Year shoes (It's old by now!)

Can't afford to wear heels when I'm always carrying a baby. The store keeper says these are 'sotong' shoes (Korea trend now days), the side of the shoes contains rubber that enables you to stretch on it.

The shoe really does feel comfortable!

It's like you are not wearing any shoes at all!

Somehow it is not advisable if your walking distance is long

(Can you imagine not wearing shoes and walk for 5 hours of shopping?!)

Yeah it gave me a stiff pain on the foot!

(did teach me a lesson to wear sport shoes!)

However, there's more problem to worried about new shoes!
It gave me red spot of pain killing water pops and skin peeling off due to the new fabric.

There are all kinds of saying by the old people that I’v heard from to avoid it!
a) Trough your new shoes on the floor as hard as you can
b) Bite on it!
c) Rub the fabric to make it soft.

But I think all these method did’t really work out :p

This was a tip by my grandmother.

Yeah, old people advise too! But it works!

Take a candle and rub it all over the shoes, especially the place that gave me all the pain!

In no time!

I tried it on again.

It was really comfortable!

No more pain at all!

If the pain really does come back the 2ND time when you wear your shoes, just rub candle on it again!

It's so simple and convenient!

Maybe some of you did know about this technique.
But no harm to share it out with you all!

Cus It really did impress me :)

Gastric Attack!

Yesterday evening before 6pm, my husband came back and brought daughter & me to the children park. My husband bought us J Co Donuts from Sunway Pyramid!

6 flavors! Mango, Cheese, Pizza, Tiramisu, Strawberry & Oreo. It was so delicious that I can't resist to eat 1 follow by 1, until the box was all left empty, not even some cream was stuck on it!

Haha! That was fun & delicious!

However, something bad happen after a while...

I had a very bad gastric! Due to too much of cream! 6 Donuts hubby & me finish within 15 minutes in the park.
Haha... think it was a little too much :)

I always have some Actal pills (for gastric) standby in the house, because once in a while I will do have gastric if I'm not careful with my food. Hah! Like what happen yesterday! Unfortunately 4 Actal pills have all eaten up! And I'm still with the major pain! Oh dear!

My husband then asks me to take some of my daughter's gripe water. Huhh!! Gripe Water (fei chai sui, in chinese), what??!! Did I hear it wrong? Then I was thinking all non-sence... Will it make me fat? Gripe Water is meant for babies & kids. My husband then took out a soupspoon, and said: 'take 2 spoon of it, you'll should feel OK by then.'

OK, what ever it is. As long as it can take off my pain, i'll do anything! Drank it fast, and sat down to rest for a while. Amazingly, I didn’t bother about my pain, and was enjoying watching the movie showing on TV.

I went and take a glance of the Gripe Water Bottle: 'Relief from wind pains, digestive upsets'.
I think It really make sense! It really works!

Something funny caught me… :p
Under the dosage column: 1 to 6 month baby 1 teaspoon... two years & above 2-3 teaspoon.
Haha, Then I was wondering 2-soup spoon for adults (thinking to myself).

Drank another 2 spoon full before I went to sleep, slept well last night with no disturb until this morning. Woke up this morning & I was feeling well!

My younger sister also does have this kind of sickness 'GASTRICK!' a very bad one too! Every time she gets hunger, she must find food or else she’ll get gastric attack. During her empty stomach, she’ll have to take small portion of food and eat slow!

However, she cured it with a method that it sounds so impossible!
A Taiwan friend gave the advice.

After meal, squeeze 1 whole lemon juice only and add a pinch of salt, drink it once a day. Continue with it about 1 week, gastric will go off automatically! Say bye bye to gastric!

My sister was the white mouse.
The result was unbelievable! It works!

Merry Go Around

Today's Saturday! And my husband is not working today, would spend the day with the family.

Went over to my mother in law's Condo for swimming, it really has been sometime I've not been working out. I've only gone for 2 laps and I was panting, and feeling my arms & legs are getting heavier & heavier...

Wow, I really see the difference! When I was in college, there's an Olympic length swimming pool and I can do 20 laps easily! Today? 2 laps of a small swimming pool, I'm already feeling tired!

Ever since I was pregnant I did not do any major exercise that I enjoyed much, Swimming, Fast/Modern Dance, Gym workouts... etc. That makes me into today, panting after 2 laps of a small swimming pool. Now only I realize!

After the tired exercise, we all went out for dinner. Kenny Rogers at the IOI Mall (Puchong), why there? Because that's the only place where we can find food & Merry go round! Which obviously the priority for my daughter to enjoy :)

My daughter really did enjoyed the ride! By the way, she went on for 2 times, before & after dinner :) Love to see her smile!

It's really not in purpose, too busy looking after my baby.
I'm not able to on my laptop when she is around, will only get to go online when she's asleep.

I have been clicking ignore for more then 10 times, and I have still this much to go! Oh dear! What to do?

I decide to click on the "Ignore all". (Did't see it in the first place :p)

I did that because some of the request was like 'N' years ago.
Of course I did accepted some request that was sent recently.

One of the application I did enjoy was the Chinese Astrology

I always do like to read about Astrology, never miss to read it on every Sunday's newspaper (Nanyang).

It is good to know things that we should avoid or be alert to chances.
No harm to know, but of course not to rely on it 100%.

Antibiotic, I need you!

I was really missing in action! Last week I was super duper BUZY!
Finally my body cannot stand all the running & less liquid! Fell sick on last Saturday.
Got bad flu, nose block, ears block, sore trout, dizziness...

Ate Panadol soluble in the morning & at night....... No use at all!

Sunday, my panel doctor was not open. Have to go to the another doctor, where I will only go to him on Sunday's or non working hours, cus they operate 18hours. Surprise me was, I think the whole clinic has sold to an Indian doctor or so... didn't bother much, I just need some flu pill I thought.

The doctor was so young, and did not feel he has a Doctor's professionalism. But I know it's OK, cus I just need some flu pill & antibiotics which I think its very common. Cost me RM30, went off.

Got home immediately ate all the pills, slept for 4 hours, got up feeling better. Continuously ate the medicine until Tuesday.

Tadaah!!! ...... TODAY I'm as brand new as I was before!

I think I'm out of antibiotic in my body!

However, slept my time over. My house work??!! Looks like a loooong list to me!!

Its good to be back in shape again!
No Mather how much house work I will have to do, be HEALTHY!

My Sister Left On 14th June 08

My youngest sister Cinny got offered a job as Gulf airline stewardess. Left to Bahrain for training on 14th June. We all sent my Sis to KLIA, well some tears did burst out from my mom :) She said it's because some other friends was crying so she just got influence. Haha :D Yeah, right!

My mom currently called me up very frequent, was curious what has happen. One day I found out, she was very lonely at home. No one to talk to, get angry to, discuss to... Even when come to groceries buying, the very frequent question 'what would you like to eat, tell me & I will buy the necessaries'. This question was frequent ask to me before I was married :p Then followed by my youngest sister.

My brother? He's not staying with my mom and only comes back once in a while.

My Elder sister? She's working at night & sleeps in the day time, don't really get much chance to talk to her.

My mom was thinking how would Cinny get used to the environment & worried on how to take care herself(1st time leaving house). However the question I think went the other way around?! My mom was not getting used of the environment at home.

However, Luckily that she is still busy running in & out the temple to help things out. At least won't keep her too empty at all times :p

Time will do keep things going on, and I will be around for her (she was a single mother ever since I was 18 years old. She did anything to keep 4 of us well!)

My mom you are the very best!

My Award Winning Princess!

Wonder why I was disappearing lately? My Baby won an award from Canon road show in KLCC! The prize is a Canon Selphy ES2! Wow! Can't believe we actually won it!

It was on 2nd June 2008, it was the last day of the roadshow in KLCC. There was a corner for the children photography competition. My husband was supplying sound & light to the Canon roadshow, that's why Me & my baby was well prepared for the photography session :)

Tried so many ways to get her best smile, sang to her, tickle tickle, say cheese, smile darling... all does not work :0( My grandmother requested a stool from the photography lady to let my baby to stand on, which I think it's quite dangerous, but of course all of us is there to look after.

Once she stood on the stool, she begin to dance & smile and become so active! Mmm... this is because she thinks she is on the stage and there are lots of audience, that's why she started her performance! Haha, everyone laugh out & lots of photos was shot! Way to go! Great idea grandma!

We didn't get a soft copy form them, so I have to snatch the original photo just to show you all :)

Until last Monday 23 June 08, received a call from Canon to inform me that my baby photo has won the award! Wow, really can't believe from the 4 days event, my daughter was TOP rated!

On 24 June 08 we went and collect the prize, brought back home & discovered about the machine. It's so great that you can even add in frames, clip art, cropping, blur effects...etc Just before you print! Tested on the printer, the printout was very amazing! The quality looks much more better compare from the shops.

I printed 5 photo to see the quality.

The Right hand photo was a frame that I added on (ducklings)! Love the printer!

I've actually received the article from my email, forward over from my husband. I think all the sayings are very true & meaningful to me, and I would really like to share out. TRUST is a very important factor for all relationships. When trust is broken, it is the end of the relationship. Lack of trust leads to suspicion, suspicion generates anger, anger causes enmity and enmity may result in separation.

A telephone operator one day she received a phone call. She answered, "Public Utilities Board." There was silence. She repeated, "PUB." There was still no answer. When she was going to cut off the line, she heard a lady's voice, "Oh, so this is PUB. Sorry, I got the number from my Husband's pocket but I do not know whose number it is." Without mutual trust, just imagine what will happen to the couple if the telephone operator answered with just "hello" instead of "PUB".

Wedding Dinner On 21/06/08

We have been invited to a wedding dinner 1 month before the date from my 'gu jie' (mother in law's father's sister's daughter-I think should be correct :p) from subang, her daughter is getting married.

1 week before the wedding, my gradma was asking me, my husband & mother in law whether we have dinner wear or not? She was so worried and keep on saying this is a big dinner, all our relative from far (Canada, Australia, US) & near is coming, you all must look good!!! Mmm.. I wonder how good is good, so went in my room and took some of my & my husband clothing for approval, there it goes... No... No... No... Maybe... then finally yes! phooi... there goes my mountain of cloths on the bed!

Ok, finally on the day it self my daughter woke up from her nap at 6pm, dinner is at 7pm. Have to feed her some rice(took me half an hour), bath her, dress her up nicely, get all her needs in the baby bag.... Look at the clock! 7pm! My husband is ready, my grandma in the room getting dressed, and I'm still with a short and a T-shirt~ @_@

Took a quick bath, dressed up, haha 10 minutes that was fast! Oh dear here comes the make up! I think it was about 6 months I've never put in makeup! Everything went good, but I was just having a little problem with the liquid eyeliner! My hand can't stop shivering!! Took a deep breath, and did it again.. Still the same wipe it off. Let's do it all over again! In a sudden, this article I read from the magazine pop up, if you are having problem drawing line on you face (eyeliner, lip liner, eye brown), just open your mouth! Everything will go as smooth as you wanted! Mmm... OK I thought, let me give it a try! Took me less the 1 minute! Haha! There it goes a nice line on my eye which how I wanted it to be!

Finally got on the car, then my grandma ask 'did you bring the ‘Angpow’? Oh No! Me shouted! Have not! My Husband ran inside the house to take it!

OK, finally we are on the way. Reach the hotel before 8pm. There goes my grandma & mother in law, chit chatting in the hall when cocktail are served. Well, my daughter of course like the environment, too happy running around. Me? Chasing her like I never did exercise before! Haha!

The dinner got started at 8.45pm, the groom & bridge had a grand entrance on the red carpet with all the mist effect. My daughter sat on my husband shoulder, her face look so amazed! What is happening (1st time in wedding dinner)? Then came the food presentation. The food was very nice & also the video & photo clip shown on the screen. I enjoy myself as well as my daughter & husband, no need to mention my grandma & Mother IL, too much to chat :)

Reach home at 12am, my daughter? Thought should be sleeping rite? She only slept at 1.30am, maybe she's too excited what has happen today.

The Button On our key board 'Print Screen'

Have you ever bother about the button on your keyboard 'Print Screen'? Yeah, it is quite a useful button. It copies anything that is now currently shown on your screen.

Have you ever think of that you do not want to show out other's information display on your PC? Such as the open windows or icons on your desktop? Maybe you would press 'Print Screen' and paste it in a drawing pad and cut out some unnecessary parts.

When I was in college, around 8 years back. My lecturer actually brought up this question and no body seems to know the answer? Or no body actually bothers about it? There is a way where you could only 'Print Screen' the window that is currently active, which will not copy any of your background.

Simple! Only if you would know.
Just hold on the Alt button and press 'Print Screen'. Done!
You’ll get what people only need to be seen!

Hah! Impress me when my lecturer told us the answer, which I would never forget.

Hiccups, STOP!

Have you ever been in a situation where you are having non-stop hiccups?

Irritating! when you tried to do anything to stop it, such as drinking a large amount of water, stop breathing for few seconds. Mmm.. These solutions are common to hear, but it does not always work.

One day when I was having hiccups when I was driving out with my mom, she taught me a very good solution! Which I also did experience it many times, and it works every time! I think it is really incredible, even tough it sounds a little ridiculous.

Now! This is the tip. Take a sip of drinking water swallow it slowly, and repeat it 7 times. Sometimes, your hiccups will stop even before your 7th sip. Simple right? Somehow my husband say's, na.. impossible.. anyway, wait till he try out
